I've been out all day showing real estate to a nice young couple from Reno.  Our prices here are probably 50% less than in their market, so they are pleasantly surprised with how much their money will buy.  It was difficult, though, to actually find occupied homes to show because they sell so quickly.  By the time I called to make an appointment, they have a pending sale. 

We did cover a lot of teritory today (over 7 hours)  and looked at vacant lots as well as a number of homes under construction.   It's looking like, in order to get what they want, they'll need to buy a lot and have a house built.  This, of course, was not their first option because a house takes 3 1/2 - 4 months to complete... and they would need to get a short term rental, which means moving twice.    But that's the way our market is right now, so you just have to check out all the options, weigh the pros and cons, and make a decision.
