A Realtor's work...

Three Lakes Golf Course. Click image to enlargeA realtor's work is never done. Today I played. Then I paid. I am an avid golfer and, in the past, have managed to get out to play 2 - 4 times per week. Not this year. On July 4th when I posted a score for 9 holes, I noticed I had only played 6 games all season!
But, today I did play with the Ladies Division at my home course of Three Lakes Golf Course in Malaga, which is about 4 miles south of Wenatchee. Today was guest day and I invited a friend of mine who is a member of the Leavenworth Golf Course. We had a great time.
But, whenever I take a big chunk like this out of my work day I must make up for it... and catch up. Here's how my day went:
7:10 a/m While on my way to the golf course this morning I placed a call to a realtor about a pending transaction.
8:00 - Tee time (Checked cell phone messages a few times)
12:30 - In the clubhouse for lunch and prize announcements (Won $10 for a birdie on a par 4)
2:00 - Departed the clubhouse
2:05 - Checking voice mail and returning phone calls on my way home
2:15 - Arrived home in time to cool off, change clothes, and comb my hair.
2:45 - Left the house to meet with a buyer and builder about a construction issue on a pending sale.
2.55 - Called a seller (unrelated transaction) about market activity while waiting for buyer and builder
3:00 - Buyer and builder arrive at house
4:00 - Back in the car to head for another real estate office to pick up a signed sales agreement. Making phone calls along the way.
4:30 - Get back home to pick up my husband to go out to dinner.
4:45 - Call buyer (yes at the restaurant) to tell him I have Final Purchase Agreement for him to initial minor changes. Tell him I will call him when I get back to my office, so he can come over.
5:30 - Get back to my office. Call buyer
5:45 - Buyer comes to office to sign papers. Another buyer calls during this time so I have to call him back.
6:15 - Call buyer back and discuss his purchase transaction
6:10 - Fax Purchase Agreement to my office for their records
6:15 - Do a little more paperwork in the office.
6:30 - Compose detailed e-mail about a home inspection to send to a seller in Brazil
6:50 - Call another realtor to discuss an appraisal on a different transaction.
7:44 - Called an appraiser... no answer. Will call tomorrow.
7:45 - 9:00 - Watch World Cup Softball on ESPN2 (Japan beat US 3-1)
9:00 - Work on blog posting
These times may not be exact, but pretty close.
Tomorrow I will start my day by going to the Title Company to open escrow on a transaction. After that I will go to the bank with a personal deposit I haven't had time to make for two days.
Ah, the work of a realtor is never done. ... I love it!
Carol
