Fireplace Safety

fireplace.jpgThis information may have been a little more timely late last year when we were experiencing that long cooold streak.  But, I was reading a fireplace safety  article in the Wenatchee World  and thought you'd be interested.   Here are the key points, but all are explained in more detail if you go to the article:

  1. Use only dry, seasoned wood.

  2. Burn the right kind of wood.

  3. Have the chimney inspected.

  4. Don’t think chimney-sweep logs will help.

  5. Don’t try to clean your own chimney.
