This is the time of year the plethora of fruit stands in the area get ready to open for the season.  Until the first local cherries are harvested, most of the fruit stands will remain closed.  But Estes Fruit Stand (north of Lincoln Rock Park) has been open for a few weeks because they sell these beautiful hanging baskets of flowers.   Soon, the summer fruit season will be in full swing and there will be dozens of fruit stands opening in the local area.  Some are very small family operations, selling just the fruit they grow themselves and others are larger, selling everything from the fresh in-season fruit... and also jams and jellies, aplets and cotlets and vegetables from nearby growing areas like Quincy and Yakima.  173989-350527-thumbnail.jpg

So, if you're coming to the Wenatchee area to look at local real estate, or just to enjoy the multitude of recreational opportunities be sure to stop by one of these fruit stand and enjoy fruits fresh from the tree.
