Wenatchee's Art on the Avenue

Click on image to enlargeHere is one of a wide variety of bronze statues on display throughout the city of Wenatchee.   It's called "Art on the Avenue", but the art pieces are not all on "The Avenue", which refers to Wenatchee Avenue.  Wenatchee Avenue is the main street running through the heart of downtown. 

Art-on-the-Avenue is sustained by artists agreeing to "display" their art free for a period of one year.  The pieces are made available for sale.  The pieces that do not sell during the year are returned to their artist owners and new statues are brought in for the next year.
