I love Fall and find myself constantly gawking around enjoying the Fall colors and looking for photo opportunities.   The chilly nights are a sure sign that winter isn't far away.   The skiers are getting excited about the first snows in the Cascade Mountains.

Birch trees at the USDA Lab

I've always loved the row of birch trees along Western Avenue in front of the WSU/USDA lab in Wenatchee and the Fall is my favorite.  My husband, Max, was the research leader for many years at the USDA Agricultural Research Service lab before he retired in 1995.

The  Birch Trees at the labs are an annual treat during the transition into winter.
