Find A Happy Real Estate Agent
Over the years, I've read a lot of articles put out on "How To Choose A Real Estate Agent"... all the typical stuff: How long have you been in real estate?
How many listings do you have?
How many homes did you sell last year?
Blah, blah, blah
This morning, during my travels through cyberspace, I ran across an article about productivity being related to happiness over at the "Chief Happiness Officer" blog. It made a lot of sense to me. I got to thinking how much this applied to real estate. Here's a summary of how happiness is related to productivity.
1: Happy people work better with others
2: Happy people are more creative
3: Happy people fix problems instead of complaining about them
4: Happy people have more energy
5: Happy people are more optimistic
6: Happy people are way more motivated
7: Happy people get sick less often
8: Happy people learn faster
9: Happy people worry less about making mistakes - and consequently make fewer mistakes
10: Happy people make better decisions
I don't know that it would be legal, but after reading the article, I can think of a whole new list of questions that seem more appropriate when interviewing a prospective real estate agent. What questions can you come up with to measure happiness in selecting an agent?
I recommend reading the full article. And, next time you're looking to hire a real estate agent, try finding the truly "happy" ones and choose from them.
